mirko27 Apr 5, 2006 12:33 PM (in response to mirko27)Have searched and read other posts on this forums about validatormessages. Gavin you haven`t not once answered what exactly to do for getting it working.

mirko27 Apr 5, 2006 1:11 PM (in response to mirko27)Information about setting resourceBundle, locale, language and using hibernate validator messages is urgently needed.

gavin.king Apr 5, 2006 4:28 PM (in response to mirko27)Note that I fixed a bug in that code this morning.

20. Re: Using hibernate validator.
gavin.king Apr 5, 2006 4:56 PM (in response to mirko27)(1) To set the resource bundle in use for the whole app, set the seam property:
resourceBundle.bundleName=....
(2) To set a session locale programmatically, call LocaleSelector.instance().setXXXXX(....) - ie. the built-in Seam component named "localeSelector". -

pmuir Apr 6, 2006 5:33 AM (in response to mirko27)See

The workaround suggested by dahm works fine - you'll need to restart jboss each time you replace the file (I think...) and you will need to specify messages for the properties defined by hibernate.
Actually, is it possible to load both the ValidatorMessages.properties and the DefaultValidatorMessages.properties? I'm quite happy with the default messages but would like to provide some of my own as well. -
23. Re: Using hibernate validator.
mirko27 Apr 6, 2006 6:11 AM (in response to mirko27)I know the workaround, but this is not supposed behaviour - overwriting other`s library.
I know that Gavin did something to be able to specify my own messages, but he keeps quiet :D -
24. Re: Using hibernate validator.
gavin.king Apr 6, 2006 6:44 AM (in response to mirko27)Emmanuel says in that other thread that this issue is fixed in the latest release of HEM (which is not currently compatible with Seam).

27. Re: Using hibernate validator.
mirko27 Apr 12, 2006 6:20 AM (in response to mirko27)We`re working on it just now :) Much of work is done, but lots of to do more. IT´s VERY HARD to code if you get all the time JTA TRansaction errors( i opened a thread in the start of the week). This some times goes so insane that you can`t do anything.
