1. Re: Passing parameters to modal panels
addebesi Sep 25, 2008 6:04 AM (in response to addebesi)...by the way, I forgot to say:
I tried setting the image name with javascript, but threre was a queueing problem. The panel opened before the new image was downloaded, resulting in the previous image flashing on the panel then being replaced by the new one - it looked rather crap. -
2. Re: Passing parameters to modal panels
ilya_shaikovsky Sep 25, 2008 6:05 AM (in response to addebesi)use a4j:support or a4j:commandLink. pass different f:param's to server. call the panel on oncomplete after reRendering.
example of one panel for different data editing in our richfaces-demo sample. you should chekc-out fom svn latest code and build it. Then look through dataTable sample (3-rd tab) -

4. Re: Passing parameters to modal panels
shadowcreeper Sep 25, 2008 2:18 PM (in response to addebesi)Aha... oncomplete starts after reRender finishes?
I could find this nowhere in the docs (maybe I just don't know where to look).
Thanks for answering a long-standing question of mine too.

5. Re: Passing parameters to modal panels
ilya_shaikovsky Sep 26, 2008 7:23 AM (in response to addebesi)we have three main event attributes:
onsubmit (or onclick for link and button) - before sending request
onbeforedomupdate (before reRender)
oncomplete (after all the activities including reRender done.)
