Seam 1.0 will run on any appserver that supports Java EE 5. All vendors are working on implementing EE5, but the ones who seem closest to having a mature implementation are JBoss, Oracle, Sun.
Don't worry about jboss-app.xml, all it is doing is telling JBoss to use scoped classloading, which is something all the other appservers do by default, AFAIK.
Thank you for reading my post.
when we can see seam 1.0 available ?
is there some estimation about its releas?
End of this month, hopefully.
Thank you for good product and cheeeeeeeeeers for SEAM 1.
Thanks to Mr. Gavin King for your answer about Seam portability. We will develop our project in Seam on JBoss 4.x and we hope that the others application servers will be ready with EJB3.0 in some months for our production phase.
Congratulations for the quality of Seam framework.
I want to ask if you are planning some Seam example illustrating web services from EJB3.0 ?
Maria Consuelo Franky
Yes, that is planned.
