15. Re: Running Seam on JBoss AS 4.0.4.GA
lcoetzee May 24, 2006 12:15 PM (in response to theute)I'm interested on running the JAASexample from the wiki with the new Jboss4.0.4 GA and MYSQL instead of postgres... any help?
I have upgraded the example to work with JBoss 4.0.4 GA and Seam CR3. Unfortunately I have no experience with MySQL, so no help there.

elfuhrer May 25, 2006 8:09 AM (in response to theute)What hibernate IDE should be used?
I have updated the Hibernate IDE to version 1.6.0 and still the generation generates javax.ejb.InvocationContext instead of javax.interceptor.InvocationContext -

elfuhrer May 25, 2006 8:20 AM (in response to theute)The MyFaces libraries in JBoss-4.0.4.GA are not updated (still @ 1.1.1), however JBoss Seam uses version 1.1.3, those libraries need to be updated as well right?

gavin.king May 25, 2006 8:26 AM (in response to theute)Seam works with MyFaces 1.1.1 if you set org.jboss.seam.core.init.myFacesLifecycleBug=true.
Or you can upgrade MyFaces in JBoss. -

Right, JBoss is now uptodate with the final release of EE 5.
All that is missing is the JAX-WS stuff.
Gosh I wish that was the case - it would make working with tools like NetBeans 5.5 all that much easier. But before that can happen, you need much more than the JAX-WS stuff, notably Servlet 2.5 and JSF 1.2 support. -

gavin.king May 27, 2006 12:18 AM (in response to theute)I thought we were close on servlet 2.5. I know Jacob was doing some work on this stuff.
JSF 1.2 is easy. Just use the RI instead of MyFaces. We will probably go the RI route by default in JBoss AS soon.
