Look at the log4j.xml file that is already present and configure as required. -

Thank you for the reply. I have read the wiki article you posted, and I have used JBOSS_HOME/server/[server-name]/conf/log4j.xml, but i want to have a self contained deployment that does not depend on the app server for logging. I have my own log4j.xml on the classpath for the application, but it is very clearly not being used.
Any ideas?
