1. Re: Richfaces + ibm rad and wesphere
jbalunas Oct 9, 2008 9:43 AM (in response to tkalactomo)Are you running into a specific issue, or problem with a specific component?
When deploying Seam applications (which use richfaces) to WebSphere 6.1 we had to set a couple of websphere properties for them to function.
Take a look http://docs.jboss.com/seam/2.1.0.CR1/reference/en-US/html/websphere.html for the details.
I'm not sure if they are still needed in Websphere 7.

We have currently two open projects in our company,
We first started project which is developed in environment which uses richfaces, seam,
jboss... Using components like richfaces eased our development,
fastened it and make it more productive after all...
But second project, should migrate onto ibm rad and websphere, by demand of our customer...so we are losing some good features in our development which includes richfaces.
So I am wondering is it possible to use just richfaces, we will not use seam, inside project which will run on websphere, without conflict with ibm jsf components? -

jbalunas Oct 10, 2008 8:31 AM (in response to tkalactomo)I have not tried a strictly Richfaces application on websphere, although I would image it should work.
Keep in mind that the options/properties that I reference in the seam reference guide are not specific to seam, but are related to JSF, and resource requests from the client.

Jay
