First JBoss Seam book released

The book focuses on the basic concepts behind Seam and uses several full examples to explain how various parts fit together in a Seam application. It complements the official Seam reference documentation and examples very well. Safari already has 16 chapters of the book. We will keep adding new contents and revising existing chapters based on user feedback until the book is signed off to the printers!

I have been a proud owner for a week (no, I couldn't put it down and yes, I finished it). I can't wait for the hard copy with new "nuggets." Thanks Tom (,Michael and Gavin). All I can say is "This changes everything."

i got my roughtcuts copy. even tried to read it on holiday on my pocket pc, suffice to say PDF reader does not wrap lines :D

i look forward to the final version, as andyd says, hopefully with some 1.1 (ok maybe 1.2 is unlikely though!)

Are there any alternative way to get this PDF apart from Safari?
Their payment system simply doesn't process foreign credit cards (have tried 4 different with no success).

Found the problem!!!

Safari must think all transactions from the Philippines are bogus (we live here 6 months a year).
So, when I try to process the purchase using my Swedish card, from a Philippine IP address, I get rejected. Using a Proxy server in Sweden solved the problem :-)

Safari online updated the estimated date of this book to April 27, 2007. Does anyone (Thomas?) know what happened?

I'm trying to understand what happened to the printed version release date, and why some people in some countries can't purchase the book.

Unfortunately everything has to go through the safari website till it is printed. Once printed you will be able to get it from any bookstore.

Is it possible to run the samples in the NetBeans IDE? I can deploy to JB 4.0.5 GA but I did not manage to create a NetBeans Project ?

Can anybody help me with this?
