Using JBoss Seam on Tomcat

I am reading Seam Reference document.

On page 12, it shows it uses Stateless Session Bean and EJB api.
But my understanding is I can use Seam + Hibernate + JSF on tomcat, what is the architecture of the Register example running on Tomcat.

There are two options:

* JSF + Seam + Hibernate + microcontainer (like in the "hibernate" example app)
* JSF + Seam + Embeddable EJB3 (like in the register or booking, etc examples)
