Yes, using toString helps, thank you! but is it a good practice to have say 'getIdAsString' method in entityt bean just because of browser?
Or do you mean that I can use toString somethere "closer" to browser view?

1. Kinda hack forcing conversion to string:<f:param value="#{''}#{item.id}" name="currentDocId" />
2. Use JSTL trim or join functions
