upgrading to richfaces 3.2.2

I have been trying to upgrade my seam-gen created project to richfaces 3.2.2.GA and have not been able to do so successfully and I was wondering if anyone has any advice.

I am using eclipse 3.4.1 with JBoss Tools 3.0.0.Alpha1.

Where I am struggling is that even though I add the 3 jar files: richfaces-api-3.2.2.GA.jar, richfaces-impl-3.2.2.GA.jar and richfaces-ui-3.2.2.GA.jar to the lib folder, add the filters to the web.xml file and add the tag lib mapping <xmlns:rich ... and <xmlns:a4j ... to the header of each xhtml file I am not able to access the new components. Specifically I am trying to access the extendedDataTable. Also I would like to update the JBoss Tools Palette to add the new components. Anyone out there have any suggestions...

That seems to be an issue of incorrect version number written into .tld files. To solve that:

1. Change

<tlib-version>3.2.1</tlib-version>

to

<tlib-version>3.2.2</tlib-version>

in richfaces-ui.jar/META-INF/*.tld files

2. Grab 3.2.2.SR1 that should be available on Monday.

I tried as you suggested in your post and even downloaded the SR1 version of richfaces and it still does not work. Any other suggestions or advice?

I had no luck with that too even with tools beta1. JSP files are ok, but XHTML are not. I guess that support for new tags hasn't been added yet. Please ask at JBoss Tools forum: http://jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewforum&f=201

Thanks for confirming that for me. I beginning to go insane. I will post a request on the JBoss Tools forum for access to the new tags in the richfaces 3.2.2 library for XHTML files.
