Indeed, my MDB didn't have a @Name. -

What was the reason for null:
A) Because it wasn't a Seam component (lacking @Name) the @In annotation didn't even get intercepted.
B) Because it wasn't a Seam component (lacking @Name) there wasn't a context to look up anything (even though an interceptor for tried to honor the @In)? -
