2. Re: how to horizontal scroll extendeddatatable
damianharvey Sep 28, 2009 11:38 AM (in response to x490812)This issue can almost be worked around by using javascript to set the value of overflow on the outer-div. The problem is that any reRender (sorting, grouping etc) will overwrite this value.
Is there an event that is called when the table is reRendered? Hooking into that would be sufficient as a workaround.
Thanks,
Damian. -

damianharvey Sep 28, 2009 11:48 AM (in response to x490812)Still not quite as nice as overriding the overflow on the outer-div as you have to specify a specific width for the table (eg. rather than 100%)
Back to my question - is there an event that I can hook into? None of the ones in the ref are applicable.
Cheers,
Damian. -
5. Re: how to horizontal scroll extendeddatatable
lightlinger Oct 22, 2009 6:57 AM (in response to x490812)Try this css style
.extdt-innerdiv { overflow-x:auto; overflow-y:hidden; }
But it would be realy nice, if the functionality of the scrollableDataTable could be copied to the extendedDataTable
hth,

ilya_shaikovsky Oct 22, 2009 7:18 AM (in response to x490812)lightlinger, with this workaround vertical scroll will be hidden if the table larger than the addition of columns sizes. And you will need to scroll horizontally to see it. look RF-7571 where we rejected such way. We will do some redesign to fully support this feature

Hi Ilya,
You're right in this point.
But to keep the feature of the fixed header and filter row this is - for us - the most useful workaround for this problem.
So go for it to fix it;)
