modalPanel is not modal on Firefox

Hi there!

When my modalPanel is rendered on Firefox, I can navigate through the caller form components, even submit the page again (I can do it using tab key).
I dont have this problem using IE.
I have a friend that confirmed this same issue in his code too.

I'll appreciate if someone could take a look in my template.jspx and tell me if something is wrong, please.

RichFaces 3.2.2
Facelets 1.1.14

this issue was risen in the past and fixed.

Could not reproduce neither at richfaces online demo nor on my local latest build.

Well, if I explicit call the panel from a commandButtom, modalPanel is modal on Firefox, but if I let the modal to be rendered in auto mode when I add a message to context, the modal still allowing to navigate through main form's components.

I dont know if this could help, but this is the code that I use to add messages to context (the messages that my modalPanel show):

public void addMensagem(FacesMessage.Severity typeMsg, String msg) { FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(); String resource = context.getApplication().getMessageBundle(); String text = getMensagem(resource, msg); context.addMessage(null, new FacesMessage(typeMsg, text, null)); }

I've got your point with showWhenRendered but still can't reproduce.. Could you please check with the latest 3.3.0 snapshot on your side?

I've got the same behavior with 3.3 snapshot...

now I'm almost sure that is related with showWhenRendered, because I'm using another modalPanel in my form, called from a commandButtom, and there's no problem with it.

any more hints?

Apropos ModalPanel could You send feature request for additional attribute
modal="true/false" it will be very usefull :)

Hi Ilya.
After some debugging I found that was my mistake: the navigation rule get activated, by commandButtom, before the modalPanel is shown. So the focus is set in the *new* page, even after modalPanel displayed. That's why I could navigate through fields...

If even so, you think this is a bug, I can send you a simple war file.
