Private configuration in Seam?

Hello,

How would I go about passing a configuration to a Seam component? I.e. in my Authenticator, I would like it to connect to a remote server and authenticate there (hence I need a remoteHostAddress configuration read by Authenticator).

Any idea?

components.xml/components.properties are a good way to configure an application at deploy time - if this is what you are after?

Can you give me an example on how to read a configuration out of component.xml?
