    Seam extended EL + Trinidad

I have read in other posts that Seam's extended el does not work with Trinidad. I think petemuir mentioned something about it when discussing the seamdiscs example. Anyway, does this mean that Seam EL does not work at all when an application is configured with Trinidad? Or does it mean that you simply can't use the extended el inside of a Trinidad component but will work with a standard jsf component (or seam/icefaces/richfaces etc)?

      Thanks

The EL extension in Seam 1.2 has been dropped in favour of jboss-el in 1.3 - if this doesn't work with Trinidad, then we shall work on jboss-el or with the Trinidad guys to make it work (I haven't had time to confirm whether it works - easy to try by adding some to the seamdiscs example)

            Thanks for the reply Pete,
So are you saying that the EL extension is no longer included in Seam 1.2.1GA across all of Seam (regardless of Trinidad)?

Can you point to me to some more information about the difference between "Seam EL" and "jboss-el"? What does this mean for the seam user?

            Thanks,
            -Brian

The EL extension in Seam 1.2.x is not in 1.3.x. Instead there is jboss-el, which AFAIK supports the same syntax as the el extension, and more. Unfortunately its not currently documented. So, I'm really saying that whether the el extension in 1.2.x works with Trinidad is a moot point.

Ok, thanks for the info Pete!

Is this working now with Seam 2.0 B1 and Trinidad 1.0.1/1.2.1?
