[rich:fileUpload] getFileName() method of UploadItem class

Hi,
I'm using this method to name the file with the original name, if I test on Mac Os X platform with Firefox and Safari it return just the name, on the Windows XP platform the behaviour differs: with firefox it works as usual and it return the name, but with Internet Explorer 7 the method return the entire file path + the name.

I hope you can replicate this...if not tell me and I'll find the time to made an example...

yes we've seen this. An this is just browser related. Browser itself returns names in this way. You should correct it yourself if need. We do not want to cut the path in the IE because other users could probably want it to be full.
