ilya_shaikovsky Nov 21, 2008 4:11 AM (in response to utdrew)This works just as designed. Just change pattern to "MM/dd/yy" :)

2. Re: Handling 2 digit year input
utdrew Nov 24, 2008 1:53 PM (in response to utdrew)Thanks Ilya!
If I change the date pattern as you've suggested will it also permit 4 year date entry? I would like to support both of these styles
01/01/48 which is January 1, 1948
01/01/1948 which is also January 1, 1948
Thanks,
Drew -

4. Re: Handling 2 digit year input
ronanker Nov 26, 2008 11:58 AM (in response to utdrew)it would be very usefull to be able to have pattern "dd/MM/yyyy" for showing date when using pattern "d/M/y" for parsing...
if user type "1/3/8" then the component would change it into "01/03/2008" and refresh the input...
(how can we define the dates range... 1950->2049 or 1970->2069 or maybe +2000 for ??0->999 ? -> need to code our own DateConverter)
can we use our own DateConverter, by putting it in converter attribute ?
(maybe i'll try one day...) -
5. Re: Handling 2 digit year input
ilya_shaikovsky Nov 27, 2008 5:26 AM (in response to utdrew)you secify the converter in converter attribute or use f:converter as for any simple input component.
