Source build outcome location

Hi,

It's my first attempt to build Seam from the sources and after having dealt with troubles concerning surefire 2.4-SNAPSHOT I had in the m2 repo instead of surefire 2.3 the build finished successfully. What I can't understand is why the build outcome is in the parent directory of the sources? It's the first project I could work with that left its build outcome outside its directory. Why's that?

Huh? It sounds like you are talking about maven so I guess you are refering to the ui build.

Can't be. Here are the steps I followed.

1. Check out the sources (per http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=SeamRepository)

cvs -d:pserver:[e-mail]:/cvsroot/jboss co jboss-seam

2. Build them (per release-process.txt)

jlaskowski@dev /cygdrive/c/oss/jboss-seam
$ ant cleanall dist
...
...
dist:
[zip] Building zip: c:\oss\jboss-seam-2.0.0.BETA1.zip
[tar] Building tar: c:\oss\jboss-seam-2.0.0.BETA1.tar.gz
...
BUILD SUCCESSFUL
Total time: 5 minutes 36 seconds

The binaries are in the parent directory of the sources.
