michael.yuan Jul 24, 2007 2:01 PM (in response to samdoyle)which version of Seam and which version of Glassfish are you using?

2. Re: XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
samdoyle Jul 24, 2007 5:04 PM (in response to samdoyle)Seam 1.2.1 GA and GlassFish 2. On btw this is a convert from the ant build project as imported in NetBeans 5.5.1 to a new Enterprise Application in NetBeans which might have something to do with it but the intial page load and registration work fine it is just when it gets directed to the main page after I register.

3. Re: XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
michael.yuan Jul 24, 2007 5:20 PM (in response to samdoyle)I think Seam 1.2.1 GA is tested against GF v1. Try the examples/jee5 project in current Seam CVS for GF v2 -- you should be able to see the differences in config files easily.

6. Re: XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
samdoyle Jul 25, 2007 12:02 AM (in response to samdoyle)This parse error is generated when the authenticator.authenticate action returns true. I don't know what seam is doing to get to this point.
<h:commandButton id="login" action="#{identity.login}" value="Account Login"/>
this returns true so this should be executed
<page view-id="/home.xhtml">
<redirect view-id="/main.xhtml"/>
but all I get is
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: http://localhost:8080/SeamGlassFishBooking-war/main.seam?cid=6
Line Number 75, Column 9:<!DOCTYPE div PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd" >

7. Re: XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
michael.yuan Jul 25, 2007 12:12 AM (in response to samdoyle)samdoyle,
Are you getting the same error running the jee5 example from CVS?
We used to have this issue when the included XHTML page has the wrong header. But I think we had fixed that in CVS. Please let me know if it is not the case.
cheers

No, when I checked out jboss-seam-head I am unable to get the page to load. When I run in FireFox it tells me it is trying a redirect that can never complete however that is.
I have to admit the deployment based on your project format appears to work though with the exception I'm missing the graphics. The problem comes in when I'm trying to convert to the NetBeans project format I guess that is their blueprints format? It is a project that is generated as a result of File->New Project->Enterprise->Enterprise Application in NetBeans since this is the format which is used where I am at. I have copied the files from your project to the files in this project at the corresponding locations and a comparison of the exploded ear files in both projects looks similiar. I'm at a loss and there is no informative information being generated through the server logs or the seam debug page. -
9. Re: XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
michael.yuan Jul 25, 2007 12:32 AM (in response to samdoyle)Can you copy everything from examples/jpa/view to examples/jee5/view and see if the problem still exists? I think that should solve your problem. It seems that we forgot to update the jee5 view files ...
