1. Re: What JSF implementation to use with SEAM
christian.bauer Oct 15, 2007 4:03 AM (in response to vashistvishal)1. Only MyFaces in your list is a JSF implementation. Seam 1.2.1 uses MyFaces by default, Seam 2.x uses the JSF reference implementation (RI) from Sun.
1.1. The JSF RI.
2. It's the same thing, a templating solution that works particularly well with JSF.
3. Seam 1.2.1: JBoss AS 4.0.5 GA, Seam 2.x: JBoss AS 4.2.x
4. All?
5. Yes.
Use Seam 2.x. and JBoss AS 4.2.1. -
2. Re: What JSF implementation to use with SEAM
vashistvishal Oct 15, 2007 8:03 AM (in response to vashistvishal)Thanks Christian,
That clears th air.
So in a nust shell if I build a solution using
Jboss SEAM 2.0
which icludes :
JSF 2.0 RI - by default
Add
New RichFaces released this month -AJAX kit.
All this Runs on Jboss -4.2.x
I will be cooking with gas I say :-) -
3. Re: What JSF implementation to use with SEAM
vashistvishal Oct 16, 2007 1:21 AM (in response to vashistvishal)Another question :
Will the new Richfaces 3.1.1 distribution works with old SEAM 1.2.1
This is a backup strategy i'm proposing just in case enterprise support for SEAM 2.0 is not available by Jan 2008.
Please correct me if i'm wrong here
This means I can still use Jboss-4.2.1 with SEAM 1.2.1 and Richfaces 3.1.1
and it will have Myfaces as its JSF implementation. -

pmuir Oct 16, 2007 5:50 AM (in response to vashistvishal)Ask on the richfaces forum. We haven't done testing of RichFaces 3.1 with Seam 1.2
