1. Re: Seam 2.0.1 CR1 is out
igx89 Dec 12, 2007 2:29 PM (in response to norman.richards)Great, thanks!
BTW, I've always been curious: what does "CR" stand for? Is it the cool form of "RC"? ;) -
2. Re: Seam 2.0.1 CR1 is out
norman.richards Dec 12, 2007 2:58 PM (in response to norman.richards)It's "candidate release". See: http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JBossProductVersioning. Technically this should probably be called beta1, since there are a couple of known issues that have to be fixed before this could be a true CR. But, it's much closer to release than a beta would suggest.

3. Re: Seam 2.0.1 CR1 is out
igx89 Dec 12, 2007 3:24 PM (in response to norman.richards)It looks like you published a new pageflow-2.0.xsd? Unfortunately that's stopping my 2.0.0.GA projects from starting up now!
The following isn't validating, and I can't figure out why:<page name="pageName" view-id="page.xhtml"> <action expression="#{someBean.someAction()}" /> <transition to="someWhere" /> </page>
Exactly because of the potential of problems like this is why once schemas are published to a certain location, whatever's at that location should NEVER henceforth change... -
4. Re: Seam 2.0.1 CR1 is out
norman.richards Dec 12, 2007 5:04 PM (in response to norman.richards)Move transition before action. We'll see if we can improve the schema.
You shouldn't be relying on the online schema for your app to start. -

igx89 Dec 12, 2007 6:07 PM (in response to norman.richards)Thanks.
Yeah, I just ended up removing the schemaLocation attribute from all my pageflow files. Is there a better way than that? It'd be great if the schema files in JARs could be used, but I've had zero luck making that happen so far. -
6. Re: Seam 2.0.1 CR1 is out
norman.richards Dec 12, 2007 10:13 PM (in response to norman.richards)If your concern is just editing, keep in mind that any good XML editor will let you declare an XML catalog. I know that eclipse has a very nice XML catalog tool that will let you pull the Schemas in and use them with no schemaLocation defined. If it would help, we could probably copy all the schemas and DTDs to the docs directory when we distribute.

nickarls Dec 13, 2007 3:06 AM (in response to norman.richards)Nice job. BTW, you might want to change the "2.0.1.GA" -> "2.0.1.CR1" on the download page to avoid confusion...

9. Re: Seam 2.0.1 CR1 is out
igx89 Dec 13, 2007 9:44 AM (in response to norman.richards)When's it going to make it into the Maven repository? I keep checking, but it hasn't appeared there yet:(.

igx89 Dec 13, 2007 12:04 PM (in response to norman.richards)Thanks :)
Two things still though:
- Version 2.0.1.CR1 needs to be marked as "Released" in JIRA
- Seam's POM incorrectly has JBoss EL 2.0.1-SNAPSHOT as a dependency (JBoss EL 2.0.1.CR1 isn't even published) -

Oops, my bad. We never finalised the release proceedure for JBoss EL in our hurry to get CR1 out. We'll try to fix this asap. Thanks for the heads up :)
