nbelaevski Jan 7, 2009 8:00 AM (in response to suprairc)Hello,
I'm not sure whether you can switch them off by attribute. As a workaround you can use CSS class to make them not visible. -
3. Re: ExtendedDataTable disable column header menu
suprairc Jan 7, 2009 8:56 AM (in response to suprairc)I know, but I would say that would be a temporary solution, the gridheadermenu's and dragcomponents are still loaded, and I think it might slow down my application.
I have severe performance issues using this grid, so it maybe because of the headers. See topic: http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=148190 -
4. Re: ExtendedDataTable disable column header menu
suprairc Jan 8, 2009 5:01 AM (in response to suprairc)I examined the HTTP response using Fiddler, and I concluded that most of the data in the response is Javascript. And most of the Javascript in the response is generated by the columnheaders. The functions in the ExtendedDataTable that take most of the space is the drag-drop script and the columnheader menu's.
I hope someone can implement a method to disable the menu's and the dragdrop scripts, so that the javascript can be reduced. The dataTable now generates about 4 MB!!!!! of data in the response when there are about 20 columns. This takes way too much time to load. -

suprairc Jan 8, 2009 7:55 AM (in response to suprairc)I also would like to request the possibility to disable drag-drop functionality, it generates too much javascript. Or just fix the amount of javascript generated by the extendeddatatable.
4MB is a little bit much
