Suggestion Box doesn't hide when pressing TAB

The error occurs when pressing TAB in the moment when the suggestion box is being drawn with the matching suggestions to the input. (the TAB should be pressed exactly in the moment when suggestion box begins to be drawn).
The first suggestion is selected, the focus is set to the input field but the suggestion box doesn't hide.

Testing the bug on Richfaces live Demo Site (Open Source RichFaces JSF Components) the error occures in a bit different way than in my developement.

In my Application, the first Suggestion is filled in input field but still remains available in the suggestion box (but nothing happens when trying to select with mouse). In LiveDemo the Entry is selected and the suggestion box remains empty.

I know there has been some issues with suggestionBox and TAB in previous versions of RichFaces. I use at the moment 3.2.2 Version. Has anybody got any idea how to loose this problem.

Please try 3.3.0.CR2. What browser do you use?

I experienced the problem by firefox (2x and 3x) as well as in IE7.

Unfortunatelly, this seems will not be fixed. This could be reproduced for sure but.. you tells us press tab in the moment when popup appears.. So the reason is quite simple. event listeneres not bind because list is not drawn in this moment but its initialization already started.. With the same luck you could try to use any other js widgets in the same manner trying to activate some functions earlier that them initialized.

Hi Ilya, thanks for the answer.

Unfortunately I expected that it's not possible to 'use' a widget before I can see it. Maybe there is a possibility to add a delay before the select-event is processed (so that the browser/backing-beans has enough time to finalize the previously initialized processes).

I hope this will be fixed as soon as possible.

Maybe it's luck if you are a single user on a standalone app and it doesn't hurt. In real life this can cause a lot of nice error mails to our support desk. ;-)
