Seam 2.0 on Glassfish

This blog is based on Seam 1.2.1 , I can successfully deploy this registration app with seam 1.2.1 on Glassfish, but when I run the same app with Seam 2.0 it does not deploy on Glassfish. What do I need to change to run this Application with Seam 2.0 (with JSF RI (not facelets) , EJB3 , and JPA toplinke) on Glassfish?

Jay is working on the guide for Seam 2 over the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, you're best bet is to take a look at the jee5 example, which runs ootb on GlassFish.

I am developing on glassfish - but with hibernate instead of toplink. No problems so far!

I got this working Seam 2 on Glassfish 2 with JSF (not facelets), JPA (toplink), I documented the needed jars and config here:

I use Groovy to write plain POJO Seam components, and I have problem in GlassFish to detect class modification. I think the classloader of Groovy in GlassFish may have problem, in Tomcat 6, everything is ok.

What glassfish version are you using? Try using the latest one: version 2.1

I haven't used Glassfish with Groovy yet. Though I'd really want to.

I have used Glassfish v2.1-b19 with Groovy today, and the problem remain unsolved.

Glassfish has a very different classloader than JBoss and Tomcat. Perhaps you should consult to the Glassfish team.

Groovy on GlassFish is untested afaik.

As Pete said I will be working this as soon as I can. I hope to get to this in the next several weeks.

The examples that we typically deploy as part of the reference guide do not include groovy. Is this one of your requirements? I may be able to look at it after I finish the main glassfish work.
