access log tab as delimiter

Is there a way to use “” delimiter instead of “” for the fields in access log?

I am using Jboss 3.2.3 with Tomcat 4.1.29.

Access log config for Tomcat is located at JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy/jbossweb-tomcat41.sar/META-INF/jboss-service.xml



Tried to use \u0009 and <^I> in the access log’s configuration. But it doesn’t help.

Just to clarify ...

I want to use TAB delimiter.

Got some help from Apache's Tomcat user group.
Used &#9; as the delimiter for TAB. It works!
&#9; is the numerical entity reference for \u0009;
