JBoss4.2 with native libraries is not starting with other us

I have an JBoss 4.2 AS installed and integrated the native libraries for the tomcat.

With the "root" user everything is starting correctly. But if I want to start the AS with an other user than root, then its is hanging after the following lines in the server.log:

14:42:25,545 INFO [ServiceEndpointManager] jbossws-1.2.1.GA (build=200704151756)
14:42:26,510 INFO [AprLifecycleListener] Loaded Apache Tomcat Native library 1.1.11.
14:42:26,510 INFO [AprLifecycleListener] APR capabilities: IPv6 [true], sendfile [true], accept filters [false], random [true].

Has someone experience with this problem?

Without knowing the OS you are using it is difficult to help.

I am having exactly the same problem....HOWEVER, the server actually does startup after about FIVE minutes and nothing unusual thereafter.

I am running jboss4.2.1 on centos 5 with the openssl-0.9.8e.tar, apr-1.2.9.tar and tomcat-native-1.1.10-src.tar

Please help me out. thanks.

I have already fixed the problem.

The problem is regarding the random-file.

Add the following to your run.sh

export RANDFILE=/dev/urandom
