Run JBoss 4.0.5 as Windows Service

Hi
I'm trying to run my JBoss 4.0.5 as a Windows Service under Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition.

I tried the JBoss Native thing available here: http://labs.jboss.com/jbossweb/downloads

It worked ok, i managed to install JBoss as a service, and to start it. But once i tried to shut it down, it didnt work. I checked the doc, and this JBoss Native (i got JBOss Native 2.0.1) seems to work for 4.2.0, but woudl it work for 4.0.5.

If it is not supposed to work, please tell me where i can find a working JBoss Native for JBoss 4.0.5.

For 4.0.5 try one of the mechanisms posted at http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=RunJBossAsAServiceOnWindows

Hi,
Sorry i had already tried this before.

The first choice does not work since i have 4.0.5 and not 4.2.0 (the JBoss Native is for 4.2.0, i don't know if retrocompatiblity is included, plus it didnt work really well on my machine)

The second choice is no longer recommended...

There are three choices on that page. The Java Service Wrapper should work for you. (Note that Java Service Wrapper is not the same as JavaService.)

Sorry i forgot to reply. It worked perfectly, but i have other problems. Since they don't concern JBoss as a service, i started a new topic here
