What does GA, SR1... means?

Hi all,

maybe it is a silly question but what does GA, SR1 or SP1 means for the releases? I guess it is something like 'Stable Release'...

And by the way, I'm stuck using JSF 1.1, what are the versions I'll be able to run, all until 3.2.0?

GA is an official stable version released after the QA process is done.

SP (Service Pack) is a term that used (by microsoft) as a patch to the official release that fix some problems without announcing the new digits in the version number.

SR is similar to that SP
