Deploying wiki portlet in non-Jboss portal

    novotny

      Hi,

I'm the chief architect for the JSR-168 compliant GridSphere portal and am very interested in seeing if the wiki portlet(s) could be ported to our portal. I think it would be an excellent integration excercise and proof to all the portal skeptics that believe that portlets are still tied to proprietary portal platforms.

      Thanks, Jason

          Hi,

As you know, JBoss Wiki is now in alpha stage, soon to become beta. Problem is it has some "hard links" to JBoss Portal classes now so moving to another JSR-168 container could be tricky at the moment.

I advice waiting for the final 1.0 release, so porting to other Portal would be a matter of writing few interfaces to integrate wiki with other portal's authorization etc.

If you'd be interested please let me know so i can work with You on the Grid Sphere integration of JBoss Wiki, once final version is released.

          Cheers,
          Tomek

As a matter of fact i did some changes in the code so deploying in other-then-jboss-portal should be quite easy now. If you are interested please let me know - here, at tomasz.szymanski@jboss.com or AIM me at szimano

            cheers,

              Any news on this subject?

Has anyone tried to implement the wiki portlet in a BEA Weblogic portal?

              Cheers,
