We have a Job which runs for some time and after processing few 1000 records stops and throughs the error,

Strange thing is it happens after the following warining from Jboss

Doesn't the stack trace explain it sufficiently? "probably due to a timeout". Also check out the JBossTS wiki where this message is explained.

try to increase transaction timiot value if you need more:
