Chapter 3, p.1 -- for Windows installs, you must specify the path with forward slashes instead of back slashes. If you supply a path like this:
c:\Jboss\jboss-4.0.4.GA
Then this is what makes it into the configuration file, and the build chokes. The path here must be:
c:/JBoss/jboss-4.0.4.GA
