spike_s May 22, 2007 3:56 AM (in response to kurtstam)Hi, I registred to the webinar of today, but unfortunately I can't attend because of a business meeting (17:00 UTC+2). Will there be a record of the session for download afterwards? If not, when the next one is scheduled?
Regards. -

burrsutter May 22, 2007 6:49 AM (in response to kurtstam)We are still learning how to use this Elluminate technology and are attempting a recording with this session. We'll make sure the URL to the recording ends up in the ESB wiki (assuming we get a clean recording).
Thanks,

burrsutter May 22, 2007 2:25 PM (in response to kurtstam)Hopefully you all made it in. We will be looking at the recording for a little while (perhaps as short as today/tomorrow) and publish it if it comes out clean.
And we are happy to do these again whenever we have a big enough group who are interested. The feedback has been great so far with many people interested in the materials, looking for the examples and downloading the ESB to get started.

sebcio May 23, 2007 10:34 AM (in response to kurtstam)Hi Burr,
could you put ALL examples and your working installation of AS+ESB you used to show to download (to avoid configuration issues). I've got real trubles (I think, I'm not alone) to get all examples (quickstars or trailblazer) work properly. I'll be a great help, cause docs for samples are not realy up2date. Thanx! -

burrsutter May 24, 2007 6:58 AM (in response to kurtstam)We have successfully using 4.2MR2 but I didn't specifically double-check the downloadable version to see if the quickstarts ran "out of the box".
I personally ignore the trailblazer because I like working with the individual examples and build them up to more complexity.
Try to work in this order:
a- helloworld
b- helloworld_action
c- scripting_groovy
d- simple_cbr (this one is the DVD Store)
e- transform_XML2POJO
f- transform_CSV2XML
g- static_router
h- web_webservice1
Then you are ready to move to the fairly complex trailblazer once you have mastered the skills listed above.
Then move on to the more advanced options like:
i- more_action
j- aggregator (this is one of the primary demos)
k- bpm_orchestration1 (this one is the basis of the orchestration demo)
Here are the quickstarts that I've not checked in yet:
bpm_orchestration2 - shows JMS-based services with a more complex flow and sync invocations.
bpm_orchestration3 - builds on 2 but shows async invocations. I'll likely package the Swing-based GUI that I have with this one as well.
plus a new web_service example.
Assuming a thru k are steps in a tutorial (and we should really doc this better) what step would you say that you are on?

sebcio May 24, 2007 9:36 AM (in response to kurtstam)Hi Burr,
I tried JBossAS 4.0.5GA+JBossMessaging1.2.0SPx+JBossESB4.0GA.
I installed JBossAS4.0.5GA+4.2MR2 today. When I try to deploy first quickstart (simpliest HelloWorld) and I get this error on console:
org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: No ClassLoaders found for: org.jboss.jms.server.destination.QueueService; -

bernard.tison May 24, 2007 10:38 AM (in response to kurtstam)sebcio,
JBoss AS 4.0.5 uses JBossMQ as JMS provider, rather than JBoss Messaging. From a client perspective this doesn't make much difference, but it does for the configuration of the JMS queues.
For JBossMQ, you should deploy the esb-quickstart-jbmq-service.xml file (in quickstarts/conf/jms). If you're using JBoss Messaging, deploy esb-quickstart-jbm-service.xml
But the easiest way to start messing around with the quickstarts is to use the jbossesb-server-4.2MR1 that comes bundled with the esb distribution. This is a slimmed down JBoss AS bundled with JBoss Messaging.
