1. Re: Exposing a remote Web Service via the JBOSS ESB
maeste Oct 12, 2008 3:10 PM (in response to ilasa01)If I have well understood your ESB server will be the client of an existing Web Service. So it will be a consumer, not a producer. Have a look to quickstart samples web_service_consumer_wise*

ilasa01 Oct 13, 2008 3:11 AM (in response to ilasa01)Yes. A client application can already access the Web Service directly. However, I would like to expose my Web Services via the ESB. So, I guess you are correct if I have to consider the ESB as web service consumer of my Web Service provider.
Thanks.

4. Re: Exposing a remote Web Service via the JBOSS ESB
ilasa01 Oct 13, 2008 9:06 AM (in response to ilasa01)Mark,
I was aware that ESB is not supported in that JBOSS version. As my Web Service is part of a Security Software package, I can't upgrage to Jboss 4.4X as this operation would cause drop of support of the Security Software instead. So, my idea was to use Jboss 4.3X and Jboss ESB 4.4X installed in one server and route the incoming client requests in the second Jboss 4.0.5. I technically don't need the ESB in the middle, as Web service requests and responses already work. Therefore I would like to bring SOA and the ESB in the middle of the architecture and understand how I can use the Security Software in a full SOA environment. I am somehow forced to this approach as Workflow is already integrated. I will also use an external BPM and attempt to import its BPEL2 code into the JBPEL server. I need somehow to loose coupling different components.
Thanks.

maeste Oct 13, 2008 3:15 PM (in response to ilasa01)I can't say anything about Security Software package, but I can confirm that consume from a JBossESB 4.4 a webservice provided by a JBoss 4.0.5 work perfectly since it have been the exactly configuration on which my team and I have realized the solution described in this post:
