Search Functionality

the forum portlet does not incorporate a "Search" functionality right now...I wonder when this will be available...

Yes of course it will be available in JBoss Forums. In fact JBoss Forums will reuse search engine which will be developed between JBoss Portal 2.6 Alpha and 2.6 Beta. At this point I'll be able to start working on search. Search functionality for JBoss Forums is the most important task for 1.1.0 release.
