view and create topics only as Admin Problem

Hi,

I have the problem, that i only can view and create topics when i'm logged in as an admin (JBOSS admin/admin). When I log in as a normal user (user/user), i can't view the topics and also can't create new topics...you have a hint to solve this problem?

Hi

Are you using JBoss Forums 1.0.0Alpha or you downloaded newest sources from svn? Also please specify versions of Portal, AS and DB.

Hi

This is very weird. Many users used this binaries of JBoss Forums 1.0.0Alpha and you are the first one with such an issue.
I hope you are aware of this issue : http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=AvoidMySQL5DataTruncationErrors
Moreover, check whether you are using instance of ForumsJSFPortlet. You shouldn't use ForumsPortletInstance.
If those doesn't help then please provide some exceptions or something that could enable me to reproduce problem and solve it.

No I Have no MySQL Problem...

Hmm I also don't have any Exceptions...where can i find the nightly builds? perhaps i should try it with one of these versions.
I also have the problem that i can't use forums with IE!

There are no nightly builds but you can download and build from sources available in svn repository. You can find all needed information about that in Forums guide.

There was an issue with JavaScript and IE which was blocking posting and it is already solved in newest sources.

Hi

I noticed that you are using AS 4.0. I didn't test Forums against such an old release. Maybe here is the cause.
