Forums 1.0.0 RC for 2.6 Alpha Deployment to Portal 2.6 CR1

I tried deploying Forums 1.0.0 RC for 2.6 Alpha to the newly release Portal 2.6 CR1 and got the following error:

WARN [ServiceController] Problem starting service org.jboss.security.acl.AclKerelFactory:service=aclKernelFactory
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/myfaces/custom/fileupload/UploadedFile

followed by

ERROR [[/portal-forums]] Exception starting filter MyFacesExtensionsFilter
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.myfaces.component.html.util.ExtensionsFilter

I'm running a fresh install of portal combined with AS and forums on windows xp with J2SE 1.5 Update 11.

Should the Forums 1.0.0 RC for 2.6 Alpha also work on the Portal 2.6 CR1?

Hi Danny

Forums available in project downloads can be used only with JBoss Portal 2.6Alpha. Forums available in svn are already migrated to Portal 2.6 Beta and next week I'll test how it looks under CR1 and make needed changes. Just after this migration I will release Forums 1.0.0GA.

Lately I was concentrated on JBoss.Org release and I did less work in Forums. Now I need some time to get everything organized and up to date. Please be patient and give me few days.

As soon as the Forums work with Portal 2.6 CR1, I will upgrade my SOAModeling.org web site. Good luck with the forum upgrade!

PS: One other nice to have for the forums would be RSS feeds that can range in granularity from all forum categories down to individual topic threads.

Actually, this will be one of the first things to do after I'll successfully make a migration of those forums to JBoss Forums. Still, I have few tasks to finish for complete retheming and scalability tuning/tests. After you will see JBoss Forums running successfuly on JBoss.Org with all data migrated you may start expecting RSS soon. ;-)

In fact, JBoss Forums available in svn work with CR2 already. JBoss Forums 1.0.0 GA release should be tomorrow or on Monday.
