1. Re: Forward development by JBoss on the existing JBoss JTA
marklittle Dec 22, 2006 8:13 AM (in response to swch)The JTA/JTS components of JBossTS have been relatively stable for about 5 years. JCA support/transaction inflow and general improvements to recover and manageability mark what has happened in that codebase. The main developments in JBossTS have been around Web Services transactions (BTP support for a start, WS-CAF and now WS-T). There is still more work to be done there, along with JSR 156, end-to-end transactions (transaction bridging) and more tools (you can never have enough tools).

2. Re: Forward development by JBoss on the existing JBoss JTA
swch Dec 22, 2006 8:26 AM (in response to swch)Thank you for your prompt reply. Is good to know that the Core part of JBossTS is so stable, because it makes a good candidate to build higher abstractions above it (like you did with JTA, JTA and WS).
One more question: any plans about migrating tools to eclipse ?

marklittle Dec 22, 2006 8:29 AM (in response to swch)There are always plans ;-) Just enacting them can sometimes be an issue.
