1. Re: Using the ResourceRecovery implementation
marklittle Sep 17, 2007 11:50 AM (in response to teknokrat)That implementation assumes plain-text. Why not just take the source and modify it to better fit your requirements?

2. Re: Using the ResourceRecovery implementation
teknokrat Sep 17, 2007 12:54 PM (in response to teknokrat)Given that my username and password are already defined in the data source file, are the username and password properties really necessary?

3. Re: Using the ResourceRecovery implementation
marklittle Sep 18, 2007 7:13 AM (in response to teknokrat)Maybe not. But like I said, just take that specific class, modify it to what you need, and run with it.

4. Re: Using the ResourceRecovery implementation
teknokrat Sep 18, 2007 8:59 AM (in response to teknokrat)Looking at the source code it appears that the username and password are optional. So I think I will leave it. Now , how do I specify the properties in the xml fragment so that they only apply to my application, and not to the entire jboss instance?

marklittle Sep 18, 2007 3:32 PM (in response to teknokrat)Not sure I understand what you mean by that.

6. Re: Using the ResourceRecovery implementation
teknokrat Sep 20, 2007 12:50 PM (in response to teknokrat)My understanding is that I have to add this xml fragment
<properties name="jdbc" type="system"> <property name="DatabaseJNDIName" value="java:ExampleDS"/> <property name="UserName" value="username"/> <property name="Password" value="password"/> </properties>
to jbossjta-properties.xml. Is this not a global, server wide setting? Or can i add multiple xml fragmets for different data sources? -
7. Re: Using the ResourceRecovery implementation
marklittle Sep 21, 2007 6:58 AM (in response to teknokrat)That code only works with one datasource, so only one XML fragment will be used. If you want multiple ones then you'll have to put in a feature request JIRA or modify the code yourself.
