1. Re: Replace JBoss TM with JBoss Transactions in JBoss 4.0.5
jhalliday Oct 22, 2008 12:34 PM (in response to semuse)Let me see if I've understood this: The powers that be won't let you replace an old, obsolete and unsupported bit of software with one that is still actively developed and supported. But they are happy for you to do radical surgery on the old one, even though there is no evidence the procedure has been attempted before, much less performed successfully?
Ahh well, if the internet works in your weird and twisted reality the same way it works in mine, you can try downloading http://www.jboss.org/downloading/?projectId=jbosstm&url=/jbosstm/downloads/4.2.3.SP7/binary/jbossts-jta-4.2.3.SP7.zip and following the instructions in the INSTALL file. YMMV as we no longer test against AS 4.0. -

Hi, jhalliday! Thanks for the super-quick reply and for the url! :)
We'll see, what we'll do, I guess that an actively developed and supported solution will be much more preferable than a Frankenstein Application Server. Anyway having two options is better than having a single one ;)
