rich:tree search

Good day to all members of this forum

The problem is that I have very big tree.

How can I implement fast search in rich:tree (i.e. when I type letters on my keyboard the corresponding node to expand en became selected ).

I understand its a quite difficult task for web. but maybe someone have done thing like this.

you could use ajax for that:

add inputText above the tree

add support component to inputText and define actionListener which will handle user input (e.g. remove unnesessary nodes if you need such filtering)

define tree state advisor which will handle the nodes expansion/selection according to typed value.. It should consider model update from input text and made first node which satisfies this value selected/expanded

reRender the tree from support
