1. Re: Collection of components, what does it mean?
adamw Jan 18, 2010 3:57 PM (in response to mark.wigmans)Hello,
this means that you can audit e.g. a Set<String>, Collection<Integer> etc, so collections of simple types. But you can't audit a Collection<AComponent>, where AComponent is an @Embeddable, so a Hibernate component.

2. Re: Collection of components, what does it mean?
mark.wigmans Jan 18, 2010 4:45 PM (in response to adamw)Thanx. I use Set/List of Strings in the case of CollectionOfElements, so that shouldn't be a problem. I assume this is true for envers 1.1 as well, because I use hibernate 3.2.7. -

adamw Jan 19, 2010 2:27 AM (in response to mark.wigmans)I'm not 100% sure that this is in Envers 1.1, I would check the release notes on the blog to see if it's supported.

drsaturno Aug 22, 2011 6:09 PM (in response to adamw)Hi Adam,
Is there any plan to cover collections of components soon? Months, years? I read that this will be covered some day.
Thanks!

pinksofa1337 Aug 29, 2011 7:20 AM (in response to drsaturno)Also very interrested in this feature.
I've tried to locate an issue to +1 on https://hibernate.onjira.com , but no luck

adamw Aug 29, 2011 7:32 AM (in response to pinksofa1337)There's no issue yet I think, so feel free to create it, and maybe try implementing it as well, if you'd have time

pinksofa1337 Aug 29, 2011 7:49 AM (in response to adamw)https://hibernate.onjira.com/browse/HHH-6613
Any gut feeling on how complex it would be to implement? Especially for someone that is new to the envers code base?

8. Re: Collection of components, what does it mean?
adamw Aug 29, 2011 8:10 AM (in response to pinksofa1337)The collection-handling code is a bit complex, but I think given a bit of time it should be understandable
