edx Jan 22, 2010 1:18 AM (in response to jdestef)Hello John,
I am very interested in HL7 listener.
Currently I have implemented the reporting solution that integrates legacy healtcare system and insurance companies interfaces (preparing for them billing records (XML and CSV)). My base platform is also JBoss5.1+ESB4.7. The platform (and cached data) will be also used for statistic queries (I am planning to engage BIRT for that). HL7 interface is in line for our system enhancement.
Thanks and regards,
Edward

jdestef Jan 22, 2010 12:02 PM (in response to beve)Hi,
Glad to see there is some interest around this. I am talking to someone at Redhat concerning this on Monday. Maybe the breakingwoods project on google would be a good place for this. That would give everyone access and let the community develop it further. I'll post back here by next Tuesday.
Thx

Hey John, if you wanna host the sources on breakingwoods (http://code.google.com/p/breakingwoods/ ), just send an email (edgar.silva (at) gmail.com ), with your Google Account/Email that I can add you as a committer there. You will be very welcome to contribute with such kind of cool stuff for JBoss ESB.
The steps are:
1- I will add you as a committer as sooner you give me your gmail/google account
2 - You will be able to upload the sources through SVN
3 - You can write a Wiki How-To
4 - You must create a zip with the jars, and required libs for download, this is one of the ways that we will create the statistics for which contribs are getting a good hating, as well as the Google Analytics. The main breakingwoods objective is to deliver a clear viewing about what would be really great to invest as an official feature in JBoss ESB distro.
How are you testing the protocol? Are you using Iguana for it (http://www.interfaceware.com/)?
Definitely a really cool contribution! Congratulations!
Cheers
Edgar

jdestef Apr 20, 2010 8:59 PM (in response to scottdawson)Hi,
We will release this as part of the openexchange project on the Open Health Tools Forge. I'll post here when it has been uploaded to the forge. We also have the beginnings of an HL7 listenter based on Netty that plugs into the ESB. I'd like to put that one out on breakingwoods. Still needs a little work. If you need this sonner that a couple of weeks then let me know. I'll send it to you directly.
Thx
