closing rich:modalPanel views site at the top

Imagine, I have a site and scroll down..coming to a link which opens a rich:modalPanel..now the modalPanel opens and all is fine.

But when I close the modalPanel,

then the site is automatically starts at the top and does not remain at the same position where I was before.

Is that a normal behaviour?

How can I avoid this?

I do not want to scroll down again and find the place where I was before.

You should prevent default action by returning "false" from onclick handler.
