O'Reilly EJB 3.1 Book Examples to be Driven by Arquillian

    alrubinger

      Hi all:

Just a note that I'll formally be joining the Arquillian community effective this weekend.  Examples from my EJB 3.1 Book through O'Reilly will be driven by Arquillian, and in the process I'd like to see how much we can abstract out the target container so that the same test, with some configuration, can run on:

      • AS via Embedded APIs
      • OpenEJB
      • GlassFish

      http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/projects/ejb-book/trunk

      https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/EJBBOOK-19

Looking forward to jumping into the code instead of just talking about it.

      S,

      ALR

          This is very exiting news!

Let me be the first to give you a warm welcome to the Arquillian Community.

Your goal of abstracting out the target container seem to be the same as ours and a very doable one.

(Only need to write the OpenEJB container integration and we should be good to go)

You write EJB 3.1 and we'll get your examples Arquillianized(tm)..

If I can assist in anyway, don't hesitate to ask.

Awesome! Definitely a win-win situation. Your readers will have a quick and easy way to see EJB 3.1 in action without a full blown deployment and Arquillian will get press. Glad that we can "ink" this deal.

What's funny is that I already considered you one of the project leaders, not to mention a community member. So welcoming you seems belated, but that's just 'cause were so glad to have you
