1. Re: fileUpload component and server folder

How can I save the file to the server in a directory of my choosing using fileUpload component?
In the reference guide it says:
There are two places where uploaded files are stored:
In the temporary folder
In the RAM
So I deduce that I have to get the stream and output it, am I right? And if so, how can I do it?
I already saw the richfaces-demo and didn't find the answer.

nbelaevski Feb 18, 2009 8:37 PM (in response to leocesar)You can get instance of UploadItem: http://www.jboss.org/file-access/default/members/jbossrichfaces/freezone/docs/apidoc_framework/org/richfaces/model/UploadItem.html from UploadEvent fired by upload component.

leocesar Feb 19, 2009 1:36 PM (in response to leocesar)Thanks Nbelaevski! In the richfaces reference guide, this class (UploadedItem) is not mentioned, I wonder why? Because it works closely with the FileUpload component.
Thanks again. -
4. Re: filUpload component and server folder
leocesar Feb 19, 2009 4:42 PM (in response to leocesar)The javadoc that you directed me (for the UploadFile) doesn't exist in the provided richfaces bin. Strange, it is not as updated as the online version! but the class file exists in the richfaces api jar.
