Deploying a network mount in Windows

I have deployed a second drives directory with file:///D:/deploy/

But now I need that drive to be a Windows network mount and when I try I get FileNotFound Exception: Not a directory or URL. I have tried mapping drives, using the UNC etc.

There are reasons for this. Basically its a content managment system were users upload files with custom security that has to be updated realtime. So I need jboss to serve the files but I need to run this in a cluster. I can't WAR the files there are too many and they are too big.

I need to run as a cluster now but as the load is getting too much for one machine.

This turned out to be a permission problem. The problem I have now is defining the permission so that a SYSTEM runing process can access the directory.

If you are running JBoss AS as SYSTEM, can I assume that you are running JBoss AS as a service? Why not define a new user specifically for use by the JBoss AS service and define your access permissions based on that user account?

Also, I have no idea how you "mounted" that directory - some details (what config file you modified) might help.
