How can I specify a transformer for bridge in JEE JMS example?

The included JEE example does not include a transformer. JMSBridgeImpl does not have a provision for a transformer. How can I specify a bridge with a transformer and then provide a transformer class which will transform the incoming JMS message into an outgoing JMS message with such a transformer? A reference and/or an example will be very helpful.

I'll be doing this in JBoss AS 5

Transformers are only used with core bridges, not JMS bridges.

Is there any way to achieve a transform function when using a JMS Bridge or is it that the two are mutually exclusive and this transformation would have to be done inside the onMessage method of an MDB without configuring a JMS Bridge.

What would it take to provide transform functionality when using a JMS Bridge. It seems that it would be an extremely useful functionality. Its quite possible that I may be missing some repurcussions.
