1. Re: rich:fileUpload maxRequestSize with Seam/myFaces
nbelaevski Feb 23, 2010 3:53 PM (in response to wachtda)Hi Daniel,
It should be set for Seam filter, please check how it's done in richfaces-demo: http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/richfaces/branches/community/3.3.X/samples/richfaces-demo/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml

wachtda Feb 23, 2010 4:54 PM (in response to nbelaevski)Hi Nick
Thank you very much for your fast answer!
I now don't have the web.xml at hand, but i know that i've tried the way you suggested...
After the Seam-Filter definition i have the Trinidad MyFaces-Filter defined.
Could it be, that i can't set the maxRequestSize because i don't have the correct order of the filters in my web.xml?
I will disable MyFaces and try it again. I will report my attempt and post my web.xml, maybe someone find's the fault...
Thank you

wachtda Feb 24, 2010 9:56 AM (in response to wachtda)Hi again
I tested the definition with the seam filter again, and it worked like a charme!
Looks like i forgot to disable the seam-multipart filter the last time...
Sorry for this newby failure and thank you Nick!Another question regarding the rich:fileUpload. Did someone know if there are some improvements planned for enhancing
the css styleability of the rich:fileUpload component.
There are some ugly hacks like the surrounding <b> tag arround the uploadControlLabel (<b>uploadControlLabel</b>) and the inline style set to the input hidden component...
Any information about that? Or maybe it is possible to contribute some changes...
Greetings Daniel

ilya_shaikovsky Feb 25, 2010 7:15 AM (in response to wachtda)you could just use rich-* classes instead of using <b> elements. for example font-weight:bold defined in rich-fileupload-button-content does the same..
Consult reference doc to check classes listing or just use Firebug to check them.

wachtda Feb 25, 2010 8:52 AM (in response to ilya_shaikovsky)Hi Ilya
The problem is not that I would style the rich-fileupload-button-content, the problem is that the html code generated trough the rich:fileUpload generates some <b></b> tags arround the label...
Try to inspect it with firebug to see what I mean...
(I know i can overwrite all elements in a css class with a * but this seems to be a horrible hack to me)
Greetings
