Configuring RichFaces Calendar to show only the year

Hello!

I have a demand to put a rich:calendar in a form to allow the user to select the year. I read Mr. Ilya's post http://relation.to/Bloggers/RichFacesCalendarForMonthsSelection, but I would like to know if I can have a calendar with years only. My manager insists that I use a rich:calendar instead of a select or something like that.

Talking about how to process ony year selection and displya in header  - I see some options using api. But unfortunatelly editor popup is not so easilly customizable. In order to show the editor without month's listed all the createDateEditorLayout method should be rewritten. So I'm not sure that trying to customize calendar is right way. It looks more simplier to create custom js control.

I agree with you, I tried several options, but I also think that is easier to use a custom js.
