Selection of already selected rich:tree node

I need to be able to handle selection/click of an already selected tree node in a rich:tree. Unfortunately the nodeSelectListener is only invoked when selection changes, even though an AJAX request is triggered. Is there any other way to handle the event server side?

I'm using RF 3.3.2

try to set toggleOnClick="true"

use support on onclick anc actionListener instead built-in selection which invokes selection event only when selection was made. Though current behavior looks natural for me as in case njode already selection selection event actually not occurs.

Thanks, I will try that. For the specific case I'm looking at I need to be able to refresh related info on other portions of the screen whenever a node is clicked, therefore a way to handle the event is necessary.
